Emphysema / Pulmonary Fibrosis
Damage to the lungs can originate from a number of sources including cigarette smoke, mineral/rock dust, metal work, grain dust, chemical, and other sources of inhaled foreign particles. In persons with pulmonary fibrosis, the body’s mechanisms that neutralize foreign particles is overwhelmed and cannot keep up. Damage then occurs to the lungs and can progress until the person is on oxygen therapy. These people can become short of breath and can easily tire. To improve the energy and stamina of our patients, we use inhaled antioxidants to reverse and prevent damage to the lungs. This enables patients to enjoy their lives to the fullest and breath easy!
